"Will the SPOUNTIN™ fit my faucet?"
We've tested the SPOUNTIN™ on all standard lavatory faucets at the major home centers and it fits them all. SPOUNTIN™ will not fit certain designer faucets that have special ends, pull-out style faucets or waterfall type faucets that don't use aerators.

The SPOUNTIN™ has 'standard female' threads. It includes an adapter that will convert the SPOUNTIN™ to 'standard male' and all necessary washers.

In rare cases, some faucets have a non-standard size threads on the end of the spout. If that is the case and the SPOUNTIN™ does not fit on your faucet, check your local hardware store or home center for assortments of aerator adapters.

"What is an aerator?"
An aerator is the attachment at the outlet of the faucet that causes the water to come out in an even stream. Without an aerator the water would squirt and splash all over the place.

The SPOUNTIN™ comes complete with a new built-in (and replaceable) aerator that replaces the one you remove during installation.

"Will the SPOUNTIN™ spray all over my sink?"
The SPOUNTIN™ has been tested in water pressures far greater then what is experienced in most homes and offices. In some rare cases (such as high-rises with supplemental water pumps and homes with pressure boosters) the water stream comes up very high. This is extremely rare, but if it happens in your case all you need to do is not turn on the faucet all the way.

In ALL cases, we recommend that you use of the enclosed restrictor when you first install the SPOUNTIN™. If you find that the water does not come up high enough, then the restrictor can be removed. See instructions for proper installation.

"Is SPOUNTIN™ easy to install?"
Yes. If you can change a light bulb, you can install SPOUNTIN™.

First you will need to unscrew your old aerator. That might be the hardest part of the job because some aerators get a buildup of minerals if they've been installed for a long time. You might need a pair of pliers to get the old aerator off. Make sure you are turning it the correct way - as you look down at your faucet you will be turning clock-wise.

If your faucet has male threads (threads on the outside), then you don't need the white adapter that comes with the SPOUNTIN™. It should screw right onto the faucet. Make sure you use the correct washers as illustrated in the installation instructions.

Next determine if you have male or female threads on your faucet. If you have female threads, then you will need the white adapter that comes with your SPOUNTIN™. Just follow the installation instructions and you will be using your new SPOUNTIN™ in no time!!

"My faucet has a special finish. Will SPOUNTIN™ match?"
The SPOUNTIN™ is chrome plated brass. It matches the finish of the vast majority of all faucets. The SPOUNTIN™ is an attractive compliment to most faucet finishes.

"Does SPOUNTIN™ filter the water?"
No, SPOUNTIN™ is not a water filter. The designers of SPOUNTIN™ made every effort to keep the unit small so that it would not hamper the use of your sink. In order to put in a filter SPOUNTIN™ would need to be much larger.

If you currently don't drink the water from your faucet, you will still find SPOUNTIN™ to be extremely convenient when brushing teeth, rinsing, taking medications or helping with many household chores.

"Is SPOUNTIN™ available in stores?"
No. SPOUNTIN™ is a brand new product that has just been introduced and is not yet available in retail stores.
